Supply/Distribution of Agric Farm Inputs & Agro-Chemicals

Completed Briniwa LGA, Jigawa.

Building on the impact and positive feedback from the first agricultural inputs distribution exercise in Biniwa, Briniwa LGA, Jigawa State, the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA) awarded Blue Sea Services Limited a second contract to continue and expand the supply and distribution of farm inputs and agro-chemicals to farming households in the same community. This Phase II contract reflects the agency's confidence in Blue Sea Services Limited's ability to execute agricultural supply and distribution programmes with integrity, efficiency, and meaningful community impact. For Phase II, Blue Sea Services Limited maintained and built upon the logistical and operational frameworks established in Phase I, procuring a fresh consignment of quality-certified agricultural inputs tailored to the seasonal requirements of farmers in Briniwa LGA. The company conducted updated beneficiary assessments in consultation with the BCDA and local agricultural extension officers to ensure that the distribution reached farming households not yet served in the first phase, as well as returning beneficiaries who required additional inputs for a second planting cycle. Products distributed included improved variety seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides appropriate for the staple crops grown in Jigawa State's agro-ecological zone. Distribution was executed using the transparent, well-documented processes refined in Phase I, with community leaders, BCDA representatives, and local government officials witnessing the distribution exercise to provide accountability and oversight. The cumulative impact of both phases of this programme has been a measurable improvement in agricultural output, farm incomes, and food security for farming households in the Biniwa community, demonstrating Blue Sea Services Limited's capacity to deliver sustained agricultural development interventions in Nigeria's border regions.
